All Safe Codes and Lock Combinations
The table below collects every safe code, padlock combination, and puzzle password recorded during launch-week research. Codes that appear in several independent guides are marked as cross-verified; single-source codes are flagged in the pending section at the end of this page.
Location names differ slightly between guides because the same area is sometimes called by its building name and sometimes by its in-story venue name. Where names disagree, both are listed.
| Code | Location | Chapter / Context | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1908 | Radio Store apartment / Apartment No. 5 | A New Day — optional safe | Cross-verified (4 sources) |
| 1672 | Water gate padlock | The Wake-Up Call — Arkham Streets | Cross-verified (2 sources) |
| 2137 | Devil's Reef Hotel / Siren's Call, Room 301 | The Wake-Up Call | Cross-verified (3 sources) |
| 1308 | Akeley Memorial Hospital basement storage | Hospital chapter | Single source |
| 13-05-36 | Brain puzzle, Akeley Memorial Hospital | Hospital chapter | Single source |
| 6294 | Sinkhole safe, Arkham Fish Market | Fish Market | Single source |
| 1496 | Optional safe, Arkham Fish Market | Sixteen Punishments investigation | Single source |
| I-IV-IX-XVI | Salt Storage lock | Sixteen Punishments investigation | Single source |
Radio Store Apartment — Code 1908
The first safe most players meet is the one inside the Radio Store apartment, opened during the Fuse mission. The combination is 1908, confirmed independently by GameRant, Sportskeeda, GamesRadar, and the ShowGamer master list, which makes it the most reliably documented code in the game.
Opening it rewards 14 rounds of handgun ammunition. Sportskeeda’s Apartment No. 5 breakdown additionally lists one Dolorocide Pill, and its loot table matches the Radio Store safe exactly, which is why both names are treated as the same container here.
Guides refer to this safe by three different names — Radio Store apartment, Apartment No. 5, and the optional safe in the Opening Hours section of A New Day. The identical code and identical 14-round reward strongly suggest a single safe described from different walkthrough angles.
Devil's Reef Hotel — Code 2137
The Devil's Reef Hotel safe in Room 301 opens with 2137. GameRant and TechRaptor both publish this code, and the ShowGamer master list records the same number under the venue name Siren's Call during The Wake-Up Call chapter.
TechRaptor’s loot report lists handgun ammo and shotgun ammo inside. Both guides also walk through the in-world clues, so you can derive the combination yourself instead of typing it in blind.
The naming split — Devil’s Reef Hotel versus Siren’s Call — is unresolved in the sources, but the matching code and chapter make it almost certainly the same safe. This page lists both names so either search finds it.
Hospital, Fish Market, and Story Locks
Akeley Memorial Hospital contributes two combinations: 1308 for the basement storage padlock and 13-05-36 for the brain puzzle. Both come from the ShowGamer master list and have not been second-sourced yet.
The Arkham Fish Market area holds the 6294 sinkhole safe and a second optional safe with the code 1496, the latter tied to the Sixteen Punishments investigation. The same investigation also gates the Salt Storage lock, whose combination is the Roman numeral sequence I-IV-IX-XVI.
The water gate padlock on Arkham Streets uses 1672 during The Wake-Up Call. This one is corroborated by GameSpew’s walkthrough in addition to the master list, so it can be treated as reliable.
How Safe Puzzles Work
Frogwares’ official store page confirms the design intent: solving optional cases and puzzles uncovers secrets, upgrades, and lore. Safes are part of that optional layer, so none of them block main-story progress.
Every code is discoverable through in-world clues near the safe — notes, environmental hints, and investigation boards all feed the solutions. Typing a code from this list simply skips the deduction step.
Safe contents are consumables and ammunition rather than unique story items, based on the documented drops. Treat the loot as a bonus for exploring, not a requirement.
Version Notes and Reliability
All codes above were collected between August 17 and August 20, 2026, within days of the August 18 launch. Frogwares has not published an official code list, and patch updates could theoretically change loot tables even if the combinations stay stable.
The five single-source codes — 1308, 13-05-36, 6294, 1496, and I-IV-IX-XVI — should be treated as very likely but not yet double-checked. If a code fails after a patch, the in-world clues remain the authoritative solution path.
